And for now that's all on the Hybrid....

However this blog will be updated with things about the Plus+ 08; a variety of influences; a scrapbook/ collection of inspirations....

Until then....

This is my individual piece, apart from our exhibition; every piece has it's own unique story which i think made them stand out more and made the viewer think about something deeper.

My piece was just my process, my writing, my logic, development of initial ideas that complied a huge list that was written over a wall in our studio and it was just beautiful to look at however this method of displaying and portraying the tiny images as an array for me has a purpose. It is meant to show perspective from the personal level of something handwritten; amateur photos; focused/ unfocused to create feeling of the journey i went through while making this list.

The final piece within the exhibition Plus+ 08 that has just finished (the last image is my individual work as part of the exhibition).

The overall theme and brief was forms and interpretations of the word HYBRID, the definitions, the international relevance conveyed by lecturers; some from England, one from Lebanon. (as a explorative blog, i'll be posting up some lectures, designers, teachers, people who were a also a part of PlUS+ 08)

The shear atmosphere of sitting in one those lectures, the same passion you have, the same process and development of narrative filled; aesthetically beautiful; thought provoking bundle of work. I could never go to enough lectures; hear and talk to new creatives; along with the creatives with the knowledge and reputation.

It was a great time to have the festival where we did; lots of fun to also take part in most areas of making the work, deciding on layout, printing, putting it up, transporting it there, difficulties, manning the exhibition, responsibilities, then the taking down, transporting it back and most of all the utmost importance of time and delegation.

With the next few images, i am developing from just these images and other photographs to create my illustrations.

I want them to be from an interesting perspective.... thats why i have tried to see how they would look photography...
These are added because Martin Parr creates a sense of style about his subject and mainly thats British-ness but that's known just from seeing this however the comparison is that i wanted to get a point of subject across that the text and the lists are all that matters...

The next couple of images are some of Tracy Emin's hand rendered collection which fits in with form and rational of abstract-ness....

This is another sketchbook page about shape, landscape, typeface, serif/sans serif relevance/difference and the uses of them with all these elements combined....
